OUR STORY
The Arbogast family originally came from West Virginia in the 1950's. They settled in the Lacey Spring area of Rockingham County, Virginia, and raised range turkeys and beef cattle. Over the years, the farm grew in acres and evolved in diversity.
In the early 2000's, as a third generation came back to the farm, the farm transitioned to raising chickens and also focused more on the beef herd.
With the fourth generation now growing into the farm, the five cousins that make up the "5" in 5A are taking active roles in all areas of the farm. The act of farming is planning for the future, and so 5A Meats was born with the fourth generation in mind.

GRASS-FED, GRAIN-FINISHED GOODNESS
The finished product is due to months and months of quality care and even higher quality feed. Here at 5A, our beef spend the majority of their life on pasture with unlimited access to grass. As they near their prime, their diet changes to include grass forages and a special mix of homegrown grains. We may be biased, but we think our recipe for high-quality meat will keep your taste buds coming back for more!
